Stopping to watch the birds

During a walk last weekend, I stopped after noticing a flock of little birds looking for food near the edge of the water. It was calming to take a few minutes to just stand and watch them.

Today, I spotted another flock in a different place on the water’s edge. The tide was going out — much more quickly than I’d expected — and I captured it in this time lapse video. Apologies for the shakiness; it was hard to stay steady with the gusts of wind.

A beautiful singer

I won’t admit how many times I have listened to this song in the past week. I discovered Dimash Kudaibergen after falling down a Youtube rabbit hole, and his singing blows me away:

A themed trip

My team at work is called Platform 9¾ (we have a Harry Potter theme in our division) so of course during our team’s meetup in London we had to visit King’s Cross Station:

Cloud-watching

I just might have developed an interest in time-lapse videos. I was standing outside when I noticed a small break in the clouds where the blue sky was peeking through. ⛅️ As I stood there, I saw the clouds moving by — and suddenly that tiny blue patch was a huge swath of blue. So I whipped out my phone and tried out the time-lapse feature for a minute or so:

The result was a very short video but a huge smile on my face. What better excuse to stand in the fresh air under a beautiful sky than this?
