During a walk last weekend, I stopped after noticing a flock of little birds looking for food near the edge of the water. It was calming to take a few minutes to just stand and watch them.
Today, I spotted another flock in a different place on the water’s edge. The tide was going out — much more quickly than I’d expected — and I captured it in this time lapse video. Apologies for the shakiness; it was hard to stay steady with the gusts of wind.
I just might have developed an interest in time-lapse videos. I was standing outside when I noticed a small break in the clouds where the blue sky was peeking through. ⛅️ As I stood there, I saw the clouds moving by — and suddenly that tiny blue patch was a huge swath of blue. So I whipped out my phone and tried out the time-lapse feature for a minute or so:
The result was a very short video but a huge smile on my face. What better excuse to stand in the fresh air under a beautiful sky than this?
I discovered a new podcast recently that cuts through some of the stress and negativity of modern times. The episodes are fairly short (all under 10 minutes) and each tells a story about compassion. I highly recommend giving it a listen:
Today was surprisingly warm and sunny, so we took a midday break to go for a run. I don’t think of myself as a runner, but I do feel great after running — especially on a day like this! I grabbed this photo quickly as we crossed the bridge over the river.
